Disability hearing

I was vey anxious at first. Judge Battles was very respectful and patient, he listened and responded in a way that helped me stay calm. He was respectful and wanted to get the full understanding of what I had been going through. He was easy to understand, asked me multiple times if I had any questions, and wanted to make sure that I understood every question and had a full understanding of what he was saying and his take on how I answered. I haven’t gotten a decision at this time because my hearing was so recent. However either way it goes I have no complaints with my hearing before him. I felt he was genuinely trying to get everything he could to look at my case as a whole, and me as a person. It is hard to try and explain to someone who doesn’t know you personally what you are going through. He didn’t make me feel rushed, but he did make me feel heard.
I respect and appreciate him as a judge, we spent roughly 1 hr going through everything and that is a lot to get in with that time frame. In closing he again asked me if there were any questions for him, and he offered me a sense of hope in this confusing, long, exhausting situation. He has a job to do and I feel he did it well.
